Unser Norden is a private label brand with various store products in Northern Germany. Most of the Unser Norden beers are made by Störtebeker. Some of their products are better than others, but they all are relatively cheap.
This hefeweizen poured the standard hazy gold color but didn't have the same amount of head that one usually sees with a weizen. The smells were mainly inline with my expectations and consisted of wheat, banana, and a little citrus. The flavor was almost identical and was heaviest on the banana flavors. This is yet another German grocery store beer that fails to impress but that isn't bad either. There is little variation from the norm when it comes to beer in grocery store here. The best aspect of this beer is the low price (which I can't remember exactly but was probably less than .70 euro).
