This beer was a deep rich brown with a tan head. The aroma was dark fruits and sugar. The flavors were similar to the aroma with dark fruits, mainly raisins and figs, dominating the mix. There were also flavors of sugar and caramel. It finished chocolatey. I definitely enjoyed this beer and I think the 8% alcohol, while noticeable in the flavor, was well hidden. This is another excellent beer from St. Bernardus in a line up that doesn't disappoint.
Overall: 9/10
