This German Pale Ale (yes you read that correctly) was amber with one finger's worth of white head. I could smell citrus and floral hops and some caramel malts. The flavor was hoppier than expected with the citrus and floral hops being prominent for a pale ale and they certainly contributed to the fairly bitter finish. The caramel malt was somewhat noticeable but subdued. This beer was decent but definitely not worth €2.49. If I was drinking pale ales regularly I probably would have liked this beer less than I did. It was different enough from my standard German beer drinking options to be enjoyable. While I appreciate a company trying to expand the German beer market I am suspect that a large company like Radeberger is the best choice for the job.
Overall: 7/10
