Drunken Sailor was a dark reddish brown with a standard amount of white head. The aroma was full of citrus, tropical fruit, and orange as well as lighter sweet smells of caramel. I was surprised to detect some alcohol considering the beer is only 6.4% ABV. When I drank this beer I was met with bold bitterness, very fine small carbonation, and a slight sweet finish. There was plenty of citrus and tropical fruit hop flavors. There were also slighter hints of sweet bread and caramel from the malt. I was surprised again that I could taste the alcohol in this beer, which made an otherwise great IPA slightly less enjoyable.
Overall: 8/10
